Fort Frederik Museum to Show Transfer Day Film

March 11, 2006 – In recognition of Transfer Day the Fort Frederik Museum will feature an expanded display that will include an art exhibit, a documentary film and a panel discussion on the Transfer of the Danish West Indies to the United States. A panel discussion will take place on Saturday, March 18, at 10 a.m., according to a press release from the Department of Planning and Natural Resources.
The documentary is a historically accurate account of the events that led up to the transfer of the islands and the transfer itself. The exhibit will open on March 17 and remain on display through the month of April. There is a $3 admission fee for the museum, excluding student groups and individuals under the age of sixteen. The museum is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
