St. Thomas Man Dies From Sunday Shooting

March 6, 2006 – Homicide detectives of the V.I. Police Department are following varied leads in the shooting death of a 25-year-old man Sunday morning. The fourth murder on St. Thomas this year was recorded when Milton Gonzalez died of a gunshot injury to the chest.
Gonzalez was shot after what police said was "an apparent altercation with occupants in a red car." Sgt. Thomas Hannah, spokesman for the VIPD, said Monday that all "angles are being looked at to bring closure to this case."
No arrests have been made, a murder weapon has not been recovered and a motive has not been established.
"Someone reported the shooting and when officers got to the scene, they
found Gonzalez with a gunshot wound to the chest," Hannah said.
Hannah appealed to anyone with information to contact the Major
Crime Unit at 774-2211 or emergency 911.
