UVI Has Poetry and Short Story Contest
The University of the Virgin Islands is giving prizes for best poem and the best short story in two categories: college and community. Winners will read their poems and short stories on either the St. Croix or St. Thomas campus of UVI during the Elizabeth Nunez reading and book signing, on April 5.
Submit poems and stories with title only on the manuscript. On a separate sheet write your name, mailing and e-mail addresses, telephone number, and the category and title of entry being submitted.
No manuscripts will be returned; only winners will be notified. The deadline for submissions is March 24.
Mail submissions to Dr. David Gould, UVI, RR1, Box 10,000, Kingshill, VI 00850, or send by e-mail (preferred) to dgould@uvi.edu. Tel. 692-4143.
