St. Thomas-St. John District Has Spanish Bee

Feb. 17, 2006 – The District Spanish Spelling Bee will be held on Friday, March 3, at the Lockhart Elementary School cafeteria. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the competition begins at 8:30 a.m. This year's theme is "Languages: Bridges to Communication."
There will also be a Foreign Languages Cultural Showcase on Saturday, April 1, at the Tutu Park Mall from 10 a.m. to noon. The best artwork and arts and crafts projects by students will be selected by classroom teachers and judged at the event. Cultural dances, songs and poetry recitation will also be part of the showcase.
