Energy Office Prepares for AgFair

The V.I. Energy Office was getting ready for the Agriculture and Food Fair Thursday afternoon. Kelly Gloger of Sustainable Systems and Design International and Energy Office Director Bevan Smith Jr. were setting up a wind turbine to demonstrate at the fair. The turbine will generate power to batteries at the V.I. Energy Office's booth. The V.I. Water and Power Authority recently decided to pursue wind energy to supplement the V.I. power grid. Gloger's company is involved with measuring wind capabilities for producing power on the Virgin Islands.
