Family Resource Center Plans October Celebration

Feb. 14, 2006 – The 2006 October Sunday Committee will meet on Wednesday, Feb. 22, at the Family Resource Center on Bunker Hill in the conference room, at 5:30 p.m. The committee will plan the "October Sunday Festival 2006" to be held on Oct. 22. Volunteers are needed to help with the planning of this event.
The October Sunday Festival has been a tradition in the United States Virgin Islands since 1977. Annually, local musicians play jazz, gospel, steel pan, bluegrass, reggae, calypso and classic rock to raise money for the Family Resource Center Inc. The center is celebrating two milestones this year: 25 years of incorporation and 20 years that the FRC Shelter has been open, operational and helping women and children in times of crisis.
