Feb. 6, 2006 – Work is set to begin Tuesday on three roads in the Savan area of St. Thomas.
According to a Public Works release, Percy De Jongh Drive will be under repair Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Brodenes Gade (one block north of Weekes Bakery) will be paved on Wednesday and Thursday. Work on Vester Gade will begin on Thursday and finish on Friday.
"Motorists and pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme caution and give traffic control personnel their cooperation during this time," Acting Public Works Commissioner George Phillips said in the release.
All abandoned vehicles in these areas will be removed.
