Riisa James Mussenden Dies in Maryland

Dec. 15, 2005 – Riisa James Mussenden died on Dec. 6, in Rockville, Maryland. She was from St. Thomas and was also known as "Joyce" or "Joycie."
She is survived by her husband, Eric Mussenden; sons: Israel "Pancho" Ortiz, Pedro Ortiz, Saba Otiz Jr. and Jesus Ortiz; and daughters: Idita Matthew, Maria Ortiz Lindo, Mariisa Mussenden, and Jerica Mussenden. Other survivors include: stepmother, Beulah Fonseca; adopted son, Tilbert Frazer; sisters: Lynnette James, Alice Lemon and Betty Ann James; and brothers: Leroy and Wayne James. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, and relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be two viewings on Friday, Dec. 16 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the Davis Funeral Home Chapel, and Saturday, Dec. 17, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., at the Emanuel Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 10 a.m. at the church. Interment will be at Western Cemetery.
All funeral arrangements are by Davis funeral Home, 774-1464.
