Kirwan School Hosts Workshop on Folk Music
The Music Department will host the first of a series of workshops in connection with their music project titled Folk Music of the Virgin Islands scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 29, at 1 p.m., in the school's cafeteria.
Featured musicians, James "Jamesie" Brewster and Camille "King Derby" Macedon, both members of Jamesie and the All Star Band, will address the audience on the topics of the culture and history of our music and will demonstrate the use of various instruments. The school choir and band will also perform folk songs.
