USVI Holds Agricultural Fair This Weekend
The University of the Virgin Islands is holding its annual Agriculture Fair this weekend on the Reichhold Center grounds just in time for you to stock up for Thanksgiving.
Keep Agriculture Alive in 2005 is the event's theme, and all manner of growing and grown things will be available – flowering and non-flowering plants, eggplants, chickens, fresh eggs, collard greens, all kinds of bush tea, jams, jellies, chutneys and local drinks. There will be booths selling everything from vegetarian dishes to local favorites, pony cart rides and a petting zoo for the children; locally made goods are featured.
The fair will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 19 and 20. Admission is $2 for adults and $1 for children.
