Cancer Society Thanks CAHS Band Boosters

Dear Source:

I want to take this opportunity to publicly say thank you to the Charlotte Amalie High School Band Boosters, music director Georgia Francis and Mr. Hendrickson for the outstanding job they did in leading the Making Strides Against Beast Cancer Walk on Oct. 14, from the Addelita Cancryn Junior High School to the Virgin Islands Legislature in the pouring rain!
So often we complain about the young people in our community not taking an interest in making a difference or contributing, not often enough do we take the time to say bravo and job well done to the ones that do.
Bravo and job well done! Charlotte Amalie High School Band Boosters for your excellent performance and enthusiasm in making the first annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk an event that people continue to talk about. Without your energy, spirit, smiles, Hawks pride, music and dance, it would not be as memorable.
All cancer survivors that walked with you in that rain were totally touched, moved and inspired by you.
Georgia Francis, the good work you continue to do with the children of the Virgin Islands does not go unnoticed. Respectfully,
Candia Petersen
St. Thomas and St. John Unit
