V.A. Offers Clinics for National Breast Cancer Awareness
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The chance that a woman will be diagnosed with breast cancer is 1 in 8. However, many men are also diagnosed with breast cancer. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs conducts research into breast cancer to discover causes and to develop better diagnostics and treatments for the disease.
An educational clinic will be held at the St. Thomas Community Based Outpatient Clinic, on Monday, Oct. 31, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at The Buccaneer Mall No. 8. Male and female veterans are invited to attend.
