Pvt. 1st Class Jose Emanuel Rosario Almestica Killed in Iraq

Oct. 26, 2005 – Private 1st Class Jose Emanuel Rosario Almestica died on Wednesday, Oct 19, in Balad, Iraq. He was from Estate Campo Rico and was 20 years old.
He is survived by his mother, Gregoria Christian; father, Esteban Christian Jr.; sisters: Ruth Perkins, and Anita and Ivonne Crotijo; brother, Esteban Christian, III. He is also survived by his aunts: Gloria Soto, Francisca Navarro, Luz Minerva Lorenzo, Carmen Almestica and Rosa Soto; uncles: Santos Almestica, Vincente Soto Jr., Santiago Soto, Elminio Soto, Roman Marquez, Ramon, Isidro and Gregorio Almestica and Carmelo Christian. Other survivors include his special friends: Helyne Joseph, Cassandra King and Shinnel Kerr, as well as many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
Funeral Services will take place on Monday, Oct. 31, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church at 9 a.m. Interment will be at Frederiksted Cemetery.
The family requests that those who will be attending the funeral wear cheerful colors.
All arrangements are entrusted to James Memorial Funeral Home Inc.
