Nick Friday in Law School

Dear Source:
Much has been written about Nick Friday's musical abilities, but I would like to say a little about him as a student of the law. Nick was in my Criminal Law class at Ohio Northern University. He was an outstanding student and was an excellent ambassador for the Virgin Islands.
For a long time, no one at the law school knew of Nick's fame as a musician. When I retired from teaching in 1998 and moved to St. Thomas, I learned of Nick's musical talents. I couldn't help but relay what I had learned to my colleagues in Ada, Ohio. I am afraid I blew Nick's cover and later apologized to him when I ran into him in the St. Thomas airport. He accepted my apology very graciously. I believe Nick did everything with grace.
