Anthon O. Emanuel Has Died at Age 79

Sept. 21, 2005 – Anthon O. Emanuel, also known as "Scuppy" died at home at the age of 79, on Sept. 21. He was employed at Housing Parks and Recreation and took great pride in his work and accomplishments. He was a native of St. Thomas who swam every morning at Magens Bay until the last few weeks.
He is survived by four daughters: Marva M. Emanuel, Merlin Christian, Xina Dawkins and Judy Ahmed; a brother, Warren Emanuel; and a sister, Edna Venzen. Other survivors are his goddaughter, Era Hermon; special friend, Elaine McClean; former wives: Mary Emanuel White and Esther Emanuel; a nephew, Clayton Emanuel and niece, Carolyn Benjamin. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Funeral services are pending. All arrangements are handled by Davis Funeral Home, 774-1464.
