Leroy Bass Dies in Brooklyn, New York

Sept. 12, 2005 – Leroy McDonald Bass of St. Thomas, better known as "Bobby," died at the age of 56. He died in Brooklyn, N.Y. on Sept. 4.
Survivors include daughters: Tiwanah and Candace Bass, and Kendra Josephat; sons: Leon and Jermaine Bass; and grandchildren: Londre, Malik and Destin Bass. Other survivors are eight brothers: Diasakos and Ken Benjamin, Earl Bass; Lucky, Vernon and Leszy Henry; and Anthony and Carl Springate. He is also survived by five sisters: Val and Pamela Henry, Loretta Bass, Joeslyn Joseph-Wright and Nessa Henry-Brown, as well as many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing on Friday, Sept. 16, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Davis Funeral Home Chapel. There will be a second viewing on Saturday, Sept. 17, from 9 to 10 a.m., followed by a service at 10 a.m., both at Grace Gospel Hall. Interment will be at Western Cemetery No. 3.
