Red Cross Needs Volunteers Trained for Hurricane Season

Red Cross Needs Volunteers Trained for Hurricane Season
The American Red Cross of the Virgin Islands needs trained workers and managers to aid victims of hurricanes. Two classes are scheduled to train volunteers. "Introduction to Disaster" will be taught on Wednesday, Sept. 7, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Home Depot training room on St. Thomas. "Shelter Operations" will be taught on Saturday, Sept. 10, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Palms Court Harbour View Hotel community room on St. Thomas. To pre-register for these classes contact the Red Cross office at 774-0375 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
