Dear Source,
We lost a great woman in our community over the weekend. Edith deJongh Woods was the very essence of education and historic preservation for the Virgin Islands. I believe we can honor her legacy with the new library in Tutu that will be built soon. Could it be named after her or maybe a room or area?
Many students and history lovers were taught by her. If not the library, then maybe a historically significant building in her honor or park.
thank you,
Jason Budsan
