News Brief: No Leads in Latest Shooting Death

Aug. 4, 2005 – Police reported no new developments in the ongoing investigation into Wednesday's fatal shooting in Smith Bay. The shooting occurred around 5:30 a.m. near Lake's Chicken Fry, a stone's throw away from where another shooting injured four people a week and a half ago.
Deputy Police Chief Elvin Fahie said Wednesday night that investigators have no motive, no suspects and have not recovered the murder weapon. Medical Examiner Dr. Francisco Landron confirmed that the unnamed victim died of multiple gunshot wounds to the body.
The killing Wednesday marked the 23rd murder of the year in the Virgin Islands.
