Caribbean Sun Adds Daily Flights to St. Maarten

July 18, 2005 – Caribbean Sun Airlines will launch a new service between St. Thomas and St. Maarten on August 1 with two daily flights in each direction.
Janise Robinson, who serves as Caribbean Sun's manager in the Virgin Islands, said in a news release that the new flights will provide much-needed direct service as well as allow passengers to connect with flights headed for France and the Netherlands.
"This is a real opportunity for the Virgin Islands to look at additional European business at a time when it is remarkably attractive for Europeans to travel to the United States," she said in a press released dated last week.
The first Caribbean Sun flight of the day leaves St. Thomas at 8:50 a.m., arriving at 9:30 a.m. The second departs St. Thomas at 3 p.m., arriving in St. Maarten at 3:40 p.m.
The first return flight leave St. Maarten at 9:55 a.m., arriving on St. Thomas at 10:35 a.m.; the second at 4:45 p.m., reaching St. Thomas at 5:25 p.m.
Caribbean Sun also announced the departure of a 7 a.m. flight from St. Thomas to San Juan. It arrives at 7:30 a.m. Additionally, it will also depart San Juan for St. Thomas at 7:55 p.m. The flight arrives at 8:25 p.m.
No one was available at Caribbean Sun to provide further information.
Caribbean Sun and its sister airline, Caribbean Star, fly to 17 Caribbean destinations.
