St. Croix to Celebrate Mango Melee and Tropical Fruit Festival

Mangoes and other tropical fruits will have their own festival. It will be held at the St. George Village Botanical Garden on St. Croix. Admission is $5 for adults, $2 for children 6-12 and free for children under six. The festival will have educational workshops, a mango-eating contest, farmer and craft vendors, a "mango-dis-mango-dat" food competition, nursery sales, garden tours, and a silent fruit auction. There will also be food, music and games for the children. It will happen from noon until 6:30 p.m. on Monday, July 4th.
