Reader Says Next Governor Needs to Understand Local Issues

Dear Source,
Patricia Gill Murphy was correct in her letter to the editor that the VI needs proven leaders that have a record of working successfully with large national and international organizations, however, I offer that the next governor of the Virgin Islands needs to have a proven and successful record of leadership on issues that directly affect our Virgin Islands community first.
Our next governor of the Virgin Islands needs to have a proven successful record in government and the private sector as it relates to the people and economy of the Virgin Islands.
Our next governor should have sharp business skills and not have only one area of expertise to draw from.
Now Ms. Murphy, please share your leader who has a proven record of working successfully with large national and international organizations.
Barbara A. Petersen
