May 16, 2005 – The Modern Music Feature CD is the latest from Bruce Springsteen, "Devils and Dust". The CD entered the charts in the number one position.
The Indie Spotlight CD is "You Take the Wheel" from talented singer-songwriter, Beth Wood, who self-released this fine effort.
We celebrate the birthdays of Valerie Vigoda of the roots band Groovelily, Elton John's songwriting partner Bernie Taupin, folk artist Catie Curtis, Celtic great Mary Black, and Darrell Power of the roots celtic rockers Great Big Sea.
We give away the latest CD from British singing sensation, Joss Stone, who can truly belt out some great R&B and she is only 16 years old. We also give away a fine CD from singer-songwriter Kate Campbell.
We include new music from Waylon Jennings son, Shooter Jennings, Louisiana blues man Tab Benoit, Sugar Ray and the Bluetones, the Duhks, Otis Clay, Sharon Shannon and more.
We also include tunes from the Beatles, Mavis Staples, Richie Havens, James Cotton, the Austin Lounge Lizards and more.
The underwriters are Hook, Line, and Sinker and Molly Molones.

Note: Due to technical difficulties, WVGN was off the air for most of Sunday, May 15.
The show scheduled to air on Sunday, May 15 did not air, however WVGN will broadcast that program in a special time slot on Saturday, May 21 from 6 to 8 pm. The giveaways as advertised will be available for listeners to win, so tune in for some great music as well as a chance to win some fine CDs.
