Community Alert: WAPA Schedules Sunday Outage

May 12, 2005 – Some St. Croix residents will experience a power outage Sunday, according to a press release Thursday from the V.I. Water and Power Authority.
The release said the outage would be from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Electrical service will be interrupted along a small section of Company Street from King Cross Street to Prince Street and a section of Prince Street from King Street to Company Street. Customers affected by the outage will include: Sylvia's Card Shop, Simpson House and the United States Coast Guard Office.
During the outage, WAPA personnel will upgrade the electrical system by removing a bank of transformers and a three span of open secondaries.
