WAPA Carnival Hours

April 21, 2005 – The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority will close its Customer Service Offices on St. Croix, St. John and St. Thomas on Children Parade Day, Friday, April 29, and Adult Parade Day, Saturday, April 30, for the Virgin Islands Carnival celebration.
In the St. Thomas-St. John, Water Island District the Customer Service Offices will open on Food Fair Day, April 27, from 8 a.m. to noon. On J'ouvert, April 28, the Customer Service Office will be open from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
In the St. Croix District, the Customer Service Office will be open for regular business hours from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 27, and Thursday, April 28.
During the Carnival celebrations, customers can pay utility bills at Banco Popular, First Bank and Virgin Islands Community Bank, or through their telephone banking service. Customers can also deposit checks or money orders in the payment drop boxes located at all WAPA Customer Service Office locations. The Authority's website, www.viwapa.vi can also be used to pay utility bills.
On St. Thomas the potable water standpipe will be open on Children's Parade Day, Friday, April 29, but closed on Adult Parade Day, Saturday, April 30.
On St. John the potable water standpipe will be open on Adult Parade Day from 8 a.m. to noon.
On St. Croix the potable water standpipe will be open during the entire week of the Virgin Islands Carnival, April 25 to April 30, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
While the Customer Service Offices are closed, St. Croix customers with electrical emergencies should call 773-2250 or 773-0150; St. Croix customers with potable water emergencies can call 773-2250.
On St. Thomas, St. John and Water Island customers with electrical emergencies should call 774-3552 or 774-1424. St. Thomas and St. John customers with water emergencies should call 775-5873.
