United Way to Hold 10th Annual Bazaar and Flea Market

Feb. 15, 2005 — The United Way of St. Thomas-St. John will hold its annual Bazaar and Flea Market from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m Saturday, at the American Legion Hall in Subbase,. A local favorite, this special event features the sale of previously-owned household goods, toys, books, CDs, electronic equipment, clothing and accessories at fabulously low prices. The United Way's member agencies will also be on hand, selling local food and drinks, native sweets, hot dogs and hamburgers under the "Food Court" tent. Other agencies will sell plants, provide entertainment and music and all will be available to explain their service programs.
President Juanita Young invited residents and visitors "to come out and enjoy this day of family fun while at the same time helping to raise funds for United Way's 13 member agencies." In addition to the fabulous bargains, with every $10 purchase participants are eligible for raffle prizes drawn every 30 minutes.
To donate goods to the Flea Market or to volunteer to assist with the event, please contact the United Way office at 774-3185.
