Choice Communications Changes Log-in Format

Feb. 7, 2005 — Choice Communications is asking all of its Internet dial-up customers to adjust their login names to include their viaccess.net or islands.vi. domain names.
All customers should now sign in as their " username@viaccess.net" or their " username@islands.vi." This change comes about as Choice was forced to make unexpected changes required by some service agreements, a release Monday afternoon from Choice, said.
" When our dial-up service was established, we wanted our customers to be able to have an easy sign-on experience, so we only asked that you login with your chosen username" Steven Parrish, Choice Communication chief executive officer said. "Since that time, our relationships with other Internet domains such as AOL have expanded and evolved, and we ran into an unexpected problem that we had to address immediately," Parrish said, adding, "We realize that this may mean a one-time inconvenience for our customers, however this was unavoidable, and we ask for our customers' patience and understanding as we work through these changes."
Anyone needing assistance with the change is asked to call the Technical Help Desk at 719-9179.
