Doris Jadan Services Tuesday

Dec. 23, 2004 – Retired educator and author Doris Jadan, 79, will be laid to rest Tuesday.
A viewing will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church at 9 a.m. The service begins at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Cruz Bay Cemetery.
Jadan died Dec. 20 at Roy L. Schneider Hospital in St. Thomas after a short illness.
She had lived on St. John since 1955.
She is survived by her sister, Jean Hiles, of Pensacola, Fla., and three nephews. They are John Wright, Duncan Wright and Clay Hiles.
Jadan graduated from Tulane University. She started the Environmental Studies Program at Julius E. Sprauve School, wrote six books and opened the Ivan Jadan Museum at her Cruz Bay home to memorialize her late husband.
