Dec. 20, 2004 – Esther Charles-Vanderpool of Estate Tutu died on Dec. 17 at the Roy L. Schneider Hospital. She was 90 years old.
She is survived by her husband, Ernesto T. Vanterpool; daughter, Ife (Charlene) Vanterpool; son, Ernesto C. Vanterpool; brother, T. Alvin Charles; sisters-in-law, Altagracia Wenner, Gloria Lindo, Gladys Abbott and Ina Charles; brother-in-law, Cecil Wenner; niece and nephews, Mark Wenner, Milton Abbott, Lt. Col. Allan L. Abbott, Aloma M. Blake, Merle Charles, Esther Charles, Myrna Charles Davis, Lawerence Charles Sr., Maddie Abraham, the Guiler families and the Farrington family of Queens, New York City; goddaughter, Selena Bright; godson, Elmo Roebuck; special friends, Bernice Gomez, Winifred Scott, Doris Shinault, Joan Griffith, Fidelia Francis and Deborah Gomez; many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 23 at the Lutheran Church of the Reformation, with a viewing at 9 a.m. Burial will be at Western Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are by Davis Funeral Home.
