Organization Needs Help Bringing Christmas to Inmates' Children

Dec. 9, 2004 – Children expect gifts at Christmas, but for children whose parents are in prison the scene on Christmas day can be quite different. These parents are unable to be with their children on Christmas and may not be able to provide gifts.
Impacting Your World Christian Ministries has been reaching out to fill this need by donating gifts to children of incarcerated parents during their annual Christmas Celebration. Impacting Your World Christian Ministries will be holding its Fifth Annual Christmas Celebration on Friday, December 17th at 7:00 p.m. at Palms Court Harborview.
The Charlotte Amalie St. Thomas Lions Club and other community organizations have partnered with Impacting Your World to give gifts to children of incarcerated parents and other disadvantaged children.
Pastors Gerald and Sharon McDonald of Impacting Your World Christian Ministries are asking persons who are interested in giving gifts during the Christmas Celebration, to kindly wrap their gifts and put a label on them designating whether the gift is for a boy or girl and the appropriate age range. The celebration will be filled with music, gifts and lots of love to make Christmas wishes come true for Virgin Islands children.
