American Red Cross of the Virgin Islands Announces Its Annual World AIDS Day Events

Nov. 24, 2004 – American Red Cross of the Virgin Islands kicked off their annual World AIDS Day schedule of events by distributing health education and risk reduction information, female barrier methods and how to use them and continuous showing of a video pertinent to women for HIV/AIDS prevention at Tutu Park Mall on Monday, November 22 and continue on November 29 and 30 from 12 Noon to 2PM and again from 4PM to 7PM.
On December 1st, World AIDS Day, in keeping with the 2004 theme of reaching out to women and girls who are the most vulnerable to contracting HIV, American Red Cross of the Virgin Islands will distribute tabletop information on HIV/AIDS to women in collaboration with agencies in the St. Thomas/St. John district whose client base is primarily women. There will also be entertainment by the Dober Elementary School Choir at approximately 1:30PM and the Frederick Evangelical Lutheran Church "FEL" bell ringers at approximately 4:30PM. The Candlelight Vigil and its program begin at 6PM with the keynote speaker for the evening being Delegate to Congress Donna M. Christensen.
