Family Celebrates the Life of Peter Jn-Baptiste

Nov. 16, 2004 – Peter Jn-Baptiste, born on June 29, 1938 in Canaries, St. Lucia died at his home on St. Croix Nov. 11. Jn-Baptiste migrated to St. Croix in the late 1960s to work as a mason. He worked on developments such as the Walter I.M. Hodge Pavillion and the Charles Howard Memorial Hospital. He ended his career as a taxi driver with Combine Taxi Association in 2001.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Ann Marie; daughters, Leoba and Silia Jn-Baptiste; sons, Modestus and Columbus Jn-Baptiste; daughters-in-law, Faye Gillon-Jn-Baptiste, Nicole Jn-Baptiste; grandchildren Chontelle Jn-Baptiste, Laurelle Ettienne, Kiana Jn-Baptiste, Kyle Jn-Baptiste, Darington K. Carette and Khaliah Jn-Baptiste; other relatives and friends including the Duncan, Lambert, Joseph and Lansiquot families, Arthur Joseph and family, Pastor Oriel Fleming and the members of Bethel SDA Church.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 21 at the Bethel SDA Church in Williams Delight, with a viewing at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Kingshill Cemetery. The family requests you wear cheerful colors to celebrate Peter's life. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to James Memorial Funeral Home.
