Red Cross Community First Aid and Safety Class

The American Red Cross, V.I. Chapter on St. Croix, is offering a Community First Aid and Safety class. This course trains in recognizing and caring for breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, infants, and children. Care for cuts, scrapes, and bruises; burns; bleeding control; how to minimize effects of shock; injuries to bones, muscles and joints, such as sprains and strains; and sudden illnesses, including poisonings and heat and cold emergencies. Participants receive certificates in Adult, Child and Infant CPR valid for one year and First Aid Basics valid for three years. Oct. 30, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., John Farrell, Instructor.
