Breast Cancer Run-Walk is Oct. 17

Oct. 5, 2004 – The 7th annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer two-mile fun run-walk to benefit the St. Thomas-St. John Unit of the American Cancer Society will be held Sunday, Oct. 17, at 5:30 p.m.
The course starts and ends in the Port of ale Mall in Havensight.
Awards will be presented to the top overall male and female finishers and to first-place finishers in seven age categories. Last year, 147 runners, walkers and pushers of baby carriages supported this good cause.
Registration is during business hours at GNC Endurance Sports in the Port of $ale Mall, Caribbean Surf Co. in Havensight or Royal Dane Mall and at the Jackson Complex.
Advance fees are $3 for youth under 18, $7 for adults and $5 for St. Thomas Association of Roadrunners members. Race day, the fee will be $10.
