October is U.S.V.I. Family Month — a MOTTEP initiative — declared by Gov. Turnbull. MOTTEP on the Move is sponsoring a Walkathon starting at 6 a.m. and moving from Plaza Extra, Sion Farm, up the Melvin Evans Highway to the Caribbean Motor Sports Complex (drag racing track). All eligible students who participate will be given six hours of community service. Families can walk, run or stroll together. At the track afterwards for there will be games and activities for all.
