Police Commissioner Sets Town Meetings

August 15, 2004 – Police Commissioner Elton Lewis is holding town meetings with residents of St. Thomas and St. Croix.
The meeting for St. Thomas is at the Charlotte Amalie High School gymnasium on Aug. 20 at 6:30 p.m. The St. Croix meeting is Aug. 30 at 6:30 p.m. at a site to be determined. The department will notify St. Croix residents as soon as a site has been confirmed.
The commissioner is asking residents to meet with him and his staff to discuss ways of improving police services and getting solutions to the existing problems in St. Thomas and St. Croix.
According to a press release from the commissioner, there was a recent meeting held in St. John and he and his staff were able to hear the residents concerns and suggestions about the Department.
