Both 'Christopher Cum-Buck-Us' Shows Sold Out

Aug. 12, 2004 – Both performances by Oliver Samuels & Company of "Christopher Cum-Buck-Us" at the Reichhold Center for the Arts this weekend are sold out. And tickets for the single performance at Island Center on Friday have been moving fast, the Reichhold announced on Thursday.
"No other performer has come to the Reichhold and has sold out two consecutive shows other than 'the doctors of laughter,' Oliver Samuels & Company," Reichhold director David Edgecombe said.
Performances by the Jamaican comedian and his troupe of Patrick Brown's takeoff on the discovery of Christopher Columbus by inhabitants of his "new world" are set for 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Reichhold Center on St. Thomas and also at 8 p.m. Friday at Island Center on St. Croix.
The Reichhold is asking that St. Thomas patrons who purchased tickets by charge card over the telephone pick them up at the theater ticketing department prior to the night of the performance, in order to avoid long lines. The box office will be open on Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
The release said a limited number of tickets for Friday's Island Center show were still available on St. Croix at Urban Threadz, Peoples Drug Store and the UVI bookstore. They're $25 in the covered section and $15 in the bleachers.
For more informaton about any of the performances, call the Reichhold at 693-1559.
