Section of Route 622 Closed on Thursday

June 29, 2004 – Route 622 at Bugby Hole Road will be closed to traffic from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. As a result of the road closure, entry and exit to traffic on Route 622 at the intersection of Catherine's Rest Road on Route 83 will be prohibited. Traffic will be detoured to the immediate north of Route 622 by way of the Herman Hill Subdivision.
Wayne D. Callwood, Department of public works commissioner, said in a press release that the road closure would allow the contractor to replace a culvert near Catherine's Rest. The work, by V1APCO Inc., is part of the Department of Public Works program to enhance the pavement life of certain roads in the federal-aid system.
"Motorists are urged to obey the construction signs and exercise caution. The fullest cooperation of the public is expected in order to ensure the safety of the traveling public and construction workers. Apologies arc extended to the public for any inconveniences experienced during this construction period," Commissioner Callwood said.
