Health Insurance Board to Be Elected

June 27, 2004 – Government employee candidates vying for the employee representative seats on the GEST/Health Insurance Board of Trustees for the St. Thomas/St. John district are: Andre Dorsey of the V.I. Fire Services who is vying for a second term, and Darien Wheatley of the Department of Justice, according to a press release from Kevin Rodriguez, acting director of the Division of Personnel.
The nominee for the St. Croix district is John Abramson, Jr., of the Election System of the Virgin Islands. He is going for a third term on the board.
"Elections will be conducted on Tuesday, July 13, from 8 a.m. to noon within the individual departments and agencies. All government employees covered by the group insurance program re encouraged to take an active part in the elections by casting their vote for the candidate of their choice," Rodriguez said in a press release.
