Library Friends Sponsor Reading Gold, Learning Golf

June 24, 2004 – A "Go for the Gold! – Read" children's program and an introductory junior golf program will be held on St. John in July.
The reading program is open to children of all ages as well as to summer camp groups. Each child who registers at the Elaine I. Sprauve Library may keep a reader's log, and receive a free new book for each five that are read to or by the child.
The golf program will begin July 21 and last for six weeks at the Little League Field. Beginning-level golf will be taught to 8- to 12-year-olds participating in St. John's Housing, Parks and Recreation program.
Both programs are sponsored by the Friends of the Elaine I. Sprauve Library and the Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands. For more information call the librarian at 776-6359.
