Budget Hearings Postponed Until July 1

June 21, 2004 –– Senate Finance Committee budget meetings scheduled for this week have been postponed. The meetings will resume July 1, according to Senator Adlah "Foncie" Donastorg's office.
The meetings conflicted with other committee meetings scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday. Those meetings remain unchanged as of Monday.
The first Finance Committee meeting was scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday to hear budget proposals for the Public Works Department: Special Road Fund; Sewer Wastewater Fund; Waste Management Authority board.; Justice Department; Corrections Bureau; and the Office of the Inspector General.
