Soldier Saddened By News of V.I. Iraq Casualty

Dear Source,
Hello and greetings to my beautiful Virgin Islands. I am a soldier stationed in Iraq as well. I often check Internet sources to view the birthplaces of the fallen soldiers. I look specifically for any soldiers from home, U.S.V.I. As I viewed the Source today, I was deeply saddened by the news of Army Staff Sgt. Kendall Thomas. (See Death of V.I. Soldier in Iraq Accident Reported and Community, Family Remember Iraq Casualty.)
I do not know him, but he was a comrade in combat. My condolences to his family and all the people of the Virgin Islands. I ask that God continue to bless the rest of us here and that the family of SSG Thomas can understand he did not die in vain. We will continue the fight to ensure his life is remembered as he would want it. Hold it together for us, thanks!
