Arrangements Are Pending for Edris Freeman-Lewis

June 18, 2004 – Edris Freeman-Lewis died June 17 at the Roy L. Schneider Hospital.
Funeral arrangements by the Davis Funeral Home are pending.
She was born on St. Thomas 78 years ago. She is survived by her husband, Levi Lewis; stepsons, St. Clair Dowers, Clifton Cornelius, and Hurius (Trinidad and Tobago); stepdaughters, Sylvia, Marie, Ruby and Ernestine (New York); brothers McKenzie Smith and Miguel Smith; sister, Mildred Titley; caretaker, Joan; special niece, Ilean Smith; five grandchildren, and many other friends and relatives.
She attended schools in New York City and Denver. She liked to dance, travel, and be good to others. A nurse and teacher, she was a nurse at the University of the Virgin Islands for 10 years, at Charlotte Amalie High School for five years.
