June 10, 2004 – The V.I. Labor Department's Workforce Investment System is seeking young people between the ages of 14 and 21 who are ready to make a difference in their lives.
A variety of programs are offered, including pre-GED classes, life skills training, entry-level office training, agro-tourism and landscaping, and more. This initiative provides V.I. employers with a pool of trained employees, a release said.
Labor Commissioner Cecil R. Benjamin urges youths to visit the offices, see if they meet certain eligibility requirements, and explore available career options.
