Death Law Change Urgently Needed for Transplants

Thank you for your coverage, of (Witnesses Urge Changes to Law on Determining Death). It is a very important issue which needs to be addressed now. Unfortunately, many of our youth are dying from gunshots and accidents and this loss of life should not be in vain. MOTTEP (Minority Organ/Tissue Education Program) of the Virgin Islands has been actively seeking to educate people about the benefits of organ/ tissue transplantation. But without the change in the law, it will not happen here on St. Croix. Our Senators need to be proactive on this issue. So many of our people are in need of organs and there is always a shortage of viable organs. We can help change that and improve the quality of lives for so many.
