Dear Editor,
My heart is heavy as I read about Natasha's murder–her story reminds me of my own family tragedy in October, 2002. My cousin, Nathalie Lodge 30, was murdered by her boyfriend, Robert Kinley aka John Kinley/Robert Johnson– she only knew him for 3 weeks. She leaves behind a 10 year old daughter.
Last week NYS Judge Tomei found Robert Kinley guilty of murder and he will be sentenced in June.

My question to the Governor and AG of the VI is: What laws are being amended to protect women and children?
What is the protocol for detaining and punishing career criminals? How long does domestic violence have to be the taboo subject no one wants to discuss until it's TOO LATE.
Every month there should be a conference/symposium and other events about domestic violence. I challenge the University of the Virgin Islands to be the first to have a dialogue and useful information for the public.
I would like to share a quote of the Councilman James E Davis you can ponder: LOVE YOURSELF STOP THE VIOLENCE.
I am a expert on Domestic Violence because my mother is a victim.
