Services Set for Man Lost at Sea

May 26, 2004 – Edwardo "Eddie" Martinez, Jr., age 21, of Hospital Street, Christiansted was lost at sea on March 19,2004.
He was the son of the late Eduardo Martinez-Rosario, also known as "Nandy".
He is survived by his mother Merline Simon; sisters Naomi Martinez and Karen Hutchinson (Fla.); brothers Denzil "Admiral" Dawkins (St. Thomas), Carlos Torres (Fla.), Clive and Everette Hutchinson (Jamaica) and Eduardo "Dito" Martinez, II., stepfather Knud "Crunch" Knight; grandmother Jestina Campbell-Maine (JA); nieces Cordae'ja "Chica" and Khaliqua "China Doll" Goodwin, Antonique Francis, Roynesha Browne, Destiny Hutchinson and Naomi Marie Martinez; nephews Jeron "Nandy" Luis Goodwin (Unborn), Terrence Skerrette, Jr., Roger Burton, Jr., Raseem and Kareem Hutchinson, Charly and David Torres, James Martinez and Samuel "Papito" Bonero; brother-in-law Bevron Goodwin; aunts Maria "Trudy" Ayala-Rosario, Marlene Shaw (Jamaica), Atella Palmer (Calif.), Jasmine Maine (Calif.), Brinelle Maine (Jamaica) and Genara Ayala-Cruz (STT); uncles Authur Johnson (JA), Hopton Maine (Jamaica), Juan "Colo" de la Cruz (Puerto Rica), Victor Ayala (Puerto Rica), Teodoro Ayala (Fla.); God-mothers Marcia Encarnacion, Veronica Fedee and Roslyn "Sister" Moolenaar-Edwards; God-fathers Eric Hansen, Don James and Francisco "Pacito" Vasquez; special cousins Genel Lindquist, Chenelle Cuencas, Shereen Rohlsen, Jayson Parrilla, Debra and Allan "Bom-Bom" Hook, Preston and Sonia Boyce, Halver "Juney" Hansen, Jr. And Lalerah Rodgers; close friends Rabel Simmonds, Wilfred "Willo" Williams, Filco Tutein, Kiturah Doward, Deserie and Etta De Touche, James "Papi" Fenner, Malek and Narcisse Bascombe, Eclema Suleiman, Julio "Tino" Soto, Elroy "Jun-Jun" and Leroy "Dexy' Roberts, Dwayne "De-De" Rhymer, Roger and Veronica Samuel, Chenel and Crystal Hicks, Kathlene Sewel, Jason Holborough and the entire Gallows Bay family; also other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 29, at Holy Cross Catholic Church at 1 p.m.
