May 23, 2004 – Everyone is invited to a fun-filled event from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, designed to celebrate cancer survivorship and raise money for research and programs for the American Cancer Society.
The Walk-A-Thon starts from Cyril E. King Airport to Emile Griffith Park, where games and activities will kick off the rest of the evening, a government vs. private leagues baseball game will be played, and food and refreshments will be on sale.
Proceeds will go to the Charlotte Kimelman Cancer Institute and the American Cancer Society.
