WTJX-TV Hosting May 20 'Business After Hours' Event

May 14, 2004 – The next St. Thomas-St. John Chamber of Commerce "Business After Hours" will take place high atop Haypiece Hill on St. Thomas in the studios of WTJX-TV, the territory's Public Broadcasting System affiliate.
The management of WTJX invites the public to tour the station's facilities on Thursday between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. and learn more about its mission as the Virgin Islands' Public Television System channel.
There will be demonstrations of the station's state-of-the-art digital transmission system, along with complimentary hors d'oeuvres and door prizes. The chamber will have its popular $2 bar set up there, too.
For those not familiar with the location of the WTJX studios, here are directions: In Sub Base, drive past the tennis courts behind the Water and Power Authority building, and at the junction turn right. The gravel road winds its way up to the top of Haypiece Hill, where the facilities are located.
"Business After Hours" get-togethers, held twice monthly, are occasions for chamber members, friends and prospective members to socialize and network informally.
According to a release from WTJX/Channel 12/DT 44, the station plans to host a similar after-hours event on St. Croix at a date to be announced.
