UVI OFFERING FREE 2-WEEK BUSINESS PROGRAM

April 29, 2004 – The University of the Virgin Islands Business Division in collaboration with International Capital Management and Kenzie Financial will offer a free two-week residency program in June on the UVI St. Thomas campus for high school juniors and seniors.
This is the second year that UVI is hosting the program, which is aimed at giving students exposure to business concepts. Field trips and resume preparation are part of the program.
Eustace Esdaille, chair of the St. Thomas campus Business Division, said it is the hope of the presenters that the students "will leave with a sense of how to prepare themselves, behave and interact in order to be effective professionals, if not business people,"
Between 20 and 25 students will be accepted for this year's program. Applications can be obtained by calling the Business Division office at 693-1300.
